Little Scrappy Pillow

I'm all about the one day projects. Here is todays. I used scraps from the log cabin quilt top I've been working on. I tried out some of the decorative stitches on my new sewing machine too.

Speaking of the log cabin, the top is ready to be sandwiched, but I've decided that making the quilt sandwich is my least favorite part of quilting.

Baby Quilt

I finished the baby quilt. It's made with a couple of Moda's "Hopscotch" charm packs and fabrics. I think it turned out cute; I love the retro feel. It's small, 32 x 39". I love the puckering and the hand of the cotton/bamboo fill.

Texas Wildflowers

While running along the river the other day, I noticed how many wildflowers are in bloom. We went back this afternoon and tried to see how many different varieties we could find. There had been a recent run on local wildflower guides at the bookstore, so I'll have to order one. In the meantime, I'll leave these beauties unidentified. There were far more than what I've pictured below, but you get the idea.

Oh, and a very outgoing Scissor-tailed Flycatcher who I suspect liked having his photo taken.
